For me, I tend to kinda be talking to myself. That way I can try to be as truthful as possible if I am even going to bother writing something down. If I try to hide TOO much about what I want to say, just because my friends are reading, then it is pointless to blog in the first place...hence, those little outbursts I tend to have =P.
